Windows

The service line of Windows is in charge of the client infrastructure and Windows based server farm. Most of the end-user computing infrastructure and a large section of the server footprint are hosted on the Windows technology and are crucial in running essential service offerings and business applications. This environment is a well-calculated combination of physical as well as virtual systems.

Maintenance of this complex and enterprise level infrastructure is carried out by a right mix of monitoring and management tools. Windows team is totally involved in the management of these assets through-out the life-cycle, i.e. starting from POC, to deployment, and maintenance, until decommission.

Network Services

In this age, it is impossible to imagine working without being connected. Network is a critical line of service as it is the back-bone of all business services, inter-connecting the rest of the infrastructure components.

Network team is responsible for delivering highly-critical and time-sensitive services to all the end-users. The team leverages latest and cost-effective technologies to build & maintain highly-available, usable and secured network services, which is pivotal for the delivery of other business offerings.

Services in this area cover a wide spectrum of networking including LAN, WAN, Network Security, Voice, and Videoconference.

Application Infrastructure Support

This is an exceptional group not very often found under IT infrastructure. This service line fills the void between the business applications and the underlying infrastructure that spans across multiple platforms.

Function as the first point of contact for all cross-platform infrastructure issues. Equipped with the knowledge of managing a wide-variety of applications, this team supports and ensures smooth running of application infrastructure. Also engaged in the development projects using Python, which addresses the monitoring and automation needs of the critical business applications.

Linux

A high degree of IT automation of the business procedures is the key to support the USP (Unique Selling Point) of Colruyt ... "Lowest Prices", As of today, the Linux platform hosts several critical components of IT Infrastructure which are used to realise this automation at Colruyt, e.g. databases (Oracle & Sybase), Application Servers (IBM's Websphere Application Server), Web Servers (for internal operations as well as for the customers on the Internet), PeopleSoft (for HR and Finance) and several applications developed in-house which are critical to business.

IDBA (Infrastructure Database Administration)

IDBA team is a subset of Belgium IDBA team which provides support in monitoring/maintaining/administrating the databases of open systems (includes sqlserver, sybase & etc.) in all test, syst (Pre-Production) & Production environments which spread across complicated and sophisticated infrastructure.
